Question 1

Which new Toyota hybrids are sold in Portugal?

Accepted Answer

The new Toyota hybrids in Portugal are the Aygo X, Yaris, Yaris Cross, Corolla, Corolla Cross, C-HR, Prius and RAV4. All have automatic gearboxes, and they span city cars, SUVs, an estate and a saloon.

Question 2

What is the difference between a Toyota hybrid and a plug-in hybrid?

Accepted Answer

A Toyota hybrid charges its own battery, through braking and the petrol engine, and is never plugged in. A plug-in, such as the C-HR Plug-in Hybrid, has a larger battery charged from a socket and covers short trips on electricity alone.

Question 3

How much does a new Toyota hybrid cost?

Accepted Answer

A new Toyota hybrid ranges from the entry Aygo X to the larger SUVs and the plug-in versions. Within each model the price rises with power and trim, up to the GR Sport versions.

Question 4

What ISV and IUC does a new Toyota hybrid pay?

Accepted Answer

On a new Toyota hybrid, ISV depends on engine size and CO₂ and is normally included in the list price; hybrids' low emissions help reduce it. Plug-ins that meet the legal electric range and emissions limits pay reduced ISV, and annual IUC follows engine size and CO₂.
