Question 1

Which versions does the new Nissan Qashqai come in?

Accepted Answer

The new Nissan Qashqai has the 140 hp 1.3 DIG-T petrol with a manual gearbox, the same engine with 158 hp as a manual or Xtronic automatic, and the 190 hp 1.5 e-POWER. Trims are Engage, Advance, Evolve and Evolve Plus.

Question 2

Nissan Qashqai e-POWER or petrol?

Accepted Answer

The Nissan Qashqai e-POWER drives like an electric car, since only the electric motor turns the wheels, but it runs on petrol and never needs a socket. The 1.3 DIG-T petrol is the simpler option and the only one with a manual gearbox.

Question 3

Does the Nissan Qashqai e-POWER pay less tax?

Accepted Answer

The Nissan Qashqai e-POWER emits less CO₂ than the petrol versions, which lowers the environmental part of ISV and IUC. It does not, however, get the electric exemptions, because it still uses a petrol engine.

Question 4

Should I buy a new or second-hand Nissan Qashqai?

Accepted Answer

A new Nissan Qashqai comes with the full factory warranty and the latest e-POWER version. A second-hand Qashqai has already absorbed the first years' depreciation, which is the biggest cost of buying new.
