Question 1

Which new Mercedes-Benz hybrids are sold in Portugal?

Accepted Answer

Hybrid versions exist for the A, C, E and S-Class, the CLA and CLE, the GLB, GLC and GLE SUVs, and the AMG GT and SL. All are automatic.

Question 2

What does the e mean on Mercedes hybrids?

Accepted Answer

The letter e in the name, as in a C 300 e or GLE 400 e, marks a plug-in hybrid that charges from a socket and covers daily trips on electricity. On AMG models, the E Performance badge identifies the high-performance plug-in hybrids.

Question 3

How much ISV and IUC does a new Mercedes hybrid pay?

Accepted Answer

Hybrids pay ISV at first registration and IUC every year, both based on engine size and CO2 emissions. Plug-ins that meet the electric-range and emissions conditions pay only part of the ISV, and their low official emissions also ease the IUC.

Question 4

Mercedes plug-in hybrid or electric: which to buy new?

Accepted Answer

A plug-in hybrid suits drivers who charge often but also make long trips without wanting to stop to charge. An electric Mercedes is exempt from ISV and IUC, but needs easy access to charging.
