Question 1

Which versions does the new Hyundai Tucson come in?

Accepted Answer

The new Hyundai Tucson always uses the 1.6 T-GDi engine: as a petrol with a manual gearbox in Black Edition and Vanguard trims, as an automatic HEV hybrid in Premium and Vanguard, and as the PHEV plug-in hybrid in e-Vanguard.

Question 2

What is the difference between the Tucson HEV and the Tucson PHEV?

Accepted Answer

The Tucson HEV is a self-charging hybrid that covers little distance on electric power. The PHEV has a larger battery charged from the socket, enough for short daily trips without using petrol.

Question 3

What taxes does a new Hyundai Tucson pay in Portugal?

Accepted Answer

A new Tucson pays ISV at first registration and the annual IUC on engine size and CO2. The Tucson PHEV can get reduced ISV if it meets the electric range and emissions requirements.

Question 4

Is it worth buying a new Hyundai Tucson?

Accepted Answer

Buying a Tucson new brings Hyundai's full factory warranty and the choice of petrol, hybrid or plug-in to suit your driving. On the other hand, a new SUV loses most value in its first years.
