Question 1

Which new diesel Fords are sold in Portugal?

Accepted Answer

Ford's new diesels are the Tourneo Custom and the Tourneo Connect, both passenger people carriers. Ford's SUVs and other models are sold as petrol, hybrid or electric.

Question 2

What is the difference between the diesel Ford Tourneo Custom and Tourneo Connect?

Accepted Answer

The Tourneo Custom is the larger, built for many passengers and luggage, and the current generation arrived in 2023. The Tourneo Connect is more compact, shares its base with the Volkswagen Caddy and is easier to live with in town.

Question 3

Does a new diesel Ford Tourneo come with an automatic gearbox?

Accepted Answer

Yes: both the diesel Tourneo Custom and Tourneo Connect come with a manual or an automatic gearbox, depending on the version. The automatic costs more but makes a large vehicle easier to drive in town.

Question 4

How much ISV and IUC does a new diesel Ford pay?

Accepted Answer

A diesel Ford pays ISV at first registration and IUC every year, based on engine size and CO₂ emissions. Portugal's ISV table is steeper for diesel than for petrol, so the hybrid and electric Tourneo Custom can be worth comparing.
