Question 1

Which new Ford models are sold in Portugal?

Accepted Answer

Ford's new range covers the Puma and Kuga SUVs, the electric Explorer, Capri and Mustang Mach-E, the Tourneo Courier, Tourneo Connect and Tourneo Custom people carriers, plus the Mustang and the Bronco. Each comes in several engines and trims.

Question 2

Which new Fords are electric?

Accepted Answer

Ford's new electric cars are the Explorer, the Capri, the Mustang Mach-E and the Puma Gen-E, joined by electric versions of the Tourneo Courier and Tourneo Custom. The Kuga, Tourneo Connect and Tourneo Custom also come as hybrids.

Question 3

How much does a new Ford cost?

Accepted Answer

A new Ford ranges from the entry version of the smallest models up to the Mustang and the Bronco, depending on model, engine and trim. Portuguese list prices usually include VAT (IVA) and ISV, while registration and delivery can be extra.

Question 4

What taxes does a new Ford pay in Portugal?

Accepted Answer

A combustion Ford pays ISV at first registration and IUC every year, both based on engine size and CO₂ emissions, which weighs most on the Mustang and the Bronco. Fully electric Fords are exempt from both ISV and IUC.

Question 5

Is a new Ford worth it over one a few years old?

Accepted Answer

A new Ford comes with the full factory warranty, the latest equipment and no IPO inspection until it is four years old. In exchange, a new car loses the most value in its first years.
