Question 1

Which engines does the new Ford Puma have?

Accepted Answer

The new Ford Puma uses the 1.0 EcoBoost mHEV with 125 hp, with a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic, and with 155 hp as an automatic only. The Puma ST has 160 hp and an automatic, and the electric Puma Gen-E has a 54 kWh battery and 168 hp.

Question 2

What do the Ford Puma trims add?

Accepted Answer

Titanium is the base, ST-Line brings the sporty look and ST-Line X adds more equipment. BlueCruise Edition is named after Ford's BlueCruise driver-assistance system, and the electric Gen-E steps up from Gen-E to Premium and Black Edition.

Question 3

How much does a new Ford Puma cost?

Accepted Answer

A new Ford Puma ranges from the entry 125 hp manual to the ST and the top Gen-E trims, depending on engine, gearbox and trim. Portuguese list prices usually include VAT (IVA) and ISV.

Question 4

Does the Ford Puma Gen-E pay ISV and IUC?

Accepted Answer

No: the Puma Gen-E is fully electric, so it is exempt from both ISV and IUC. The EcoBoost mHEV versions pay both taxes on engine size and CO₂ emissions, though the small engine keeps them low.

Question 5

Is a new Ford Puma worth it over one a few years old?

Accepted Answer

A new Puma has the full factory warranty, the refreshed cabin and, with the Gen-E, an electric option older ones lack. On the other hand, a new car loses the most value in its first years.
