Question 1

What is the difference between the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, Coupé and Gran Coupé?

Accepted Answer

The Active Tourer is a front-wheel-drive compact MPV, the Coupé a rear-wheel-drive two-door and the Gran Coupé a four-door saloon. They share a name, but each has its own engines and versions.

Question 2

Which engines does the new BMW 2 Series have?

Accepted Answer

The Active Tourer offers the 218i and 220i petrols, the 218d, 220d and 223d xDrive diesels and the 245 hp 225e xDrive and 326 hp 230e xDrive plug-in hybrids. The Coupé runs from the 156 hp 218i to the 392 hp M240i xDrive, and the Gran Coupé from the 122 hp 216 to the 300 hp M235 xDrive.

Question 3

How much does a new BMW 2 Series cost?

Accepted Answer

A new BMW 2 Series ranges from the entry Gran Coupé 216 to the Coupé M240i xDrive. The price depends on body, engine and xDrive, and each version has its own official list price.

Question 4

Does the plug-in BMW 2 Series Active Tourer pay less ISV?

Accepted Answer

As plug-in hybrids, the Active Tourer 225e and 230e can qualify for reduced ISV if they meet the electric range and CO2 conditions. They still pay annual IUC like the rest of the range, based on engine size and CO2.
