Which Mini Countryman engines came with a manual gearbox?

In the first generation, the One and Cooper used the 1.6 petrol; in the second, they moved to the three-cylinder 1.5. The Cooper S and the diesels were also offered as manuals.

What should I check on a manual Mini Countryman's clutch?

On diesels, the dual-mass flywheel can cause vibration at idle and noise when the clutch is pressed, and it is usually replaced with the clutch. On a test drive, the clutch should not slip on a hill.

Does the 1.6 petrol in the Mini Countryman R60 have problems?

The first generation's 1.6 Prince engine is known for timing chain wear and oil consumption, especially in the Cooper S turbo. A record of frequent oil changes is the best reassurance.
