Which Mercedes C-Class versions have a manual gearbox?

The six-speed manual was offered on the W204 and W205, mainly with the C 180, C 200, C 200 d and C 220 d engines. AMG versions, hybrids and every W206 are automatic only.

What should I check on the clutch of a manual Mercedes C-Class?

On diesels, the dual-mass flywheel and clutch are the most expensive wear parts. Judder when pulling away or rattling at idle suggest they are near the end.

Why are there fewer manual Mercedes C-Class cars for sale?

Most buyers chose the automatic when these cars were new, and the W206 no longer offers a manual. Manual cars are therefore concentrated in the W204 and early W205 years.
