Question 1

Where can you inspect a used Ford before buying in Setúbal?

Accepted Answer

Inspection centres in the Setúbal district carry out optional inspections on request, useful for checking a Ford's brakes, suspension and emissions before purchase. An independent garage can also read the engine ECU and check the turbo. Agree with the seller to take the car to the place you choose.

Question 2

Which Ford suits a daily commute from Setúbal to Lisbon?

Accepted Answer

For the daily run over the 25 de Abril or Vasco da Gama bridge, an automatic Ford such as the fourth-generation Focus or the Kuga hybrid makes the queues more bearable. The Kuga hybrid uses little fuel in stop-start traffic. Diesel pays off mainly for drivers covering long distances on the A2 or A12.

Question 3

How do you register a used Ford bought in the Setúbal district?

Accepted Answer

Ownership of a Ford is registered at the Registo Automóvel, at a registry office or Espaço Automóvel in the district, or online, with the form signed by both parties. At a dealer, the seller usually handles the process. Once registered, the IUC road tax passes to the new owner.
