Which hybrid DS models are there?

The plug-ins are the DS 7 E-Tense, in front-wheel drive or 4x4, the DS 4 E-Tense and the DS 9 E-Tense, all with a 1.6 PureTech and the ë-EAT8 gearbox. The DS 5 Hybrid4, sold until 2015, is a diesel hybrid without a plug.

Does the DS 7 E-Tense need to be charged?

To pay off, yes: it only uses little fuel when the battery is charged regularly. Without charging it runs on petrol carrying the battery's extra weight, so a socket at home or work helps.

Is the DS 5 Hybrid4 a plug-in?

No, it charges its battery on the move, with a 2.0 HDi at the front and an electric motor at the rear giving all-wheel drive. The gearbox is the ETG6 robotised unit, slower than the E-Tense models' ë-EAT8.
