Question 1

Should I choose a Duster 4x4 or front-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

Front-wheel drive is enough for town, motorway and most gravel tracks, and it is lighter and simpler to maintain. A 4x4 makes sense for steep unpaved roads in the countryside or the mountains, and on one you should test every drive mode during the test drive.

Question 2

What is the Duster ECO-G?

Accepted Answer

It is a factory version that runs on petrol and LPG, with a second tank for the gas. LPG costs less per litre than petrol in Portugal, and because the system is fitted at the factory it is already on the car's documents.

Question 3

Is a diesel Duster still a good buy?

Accepted Answer

The dCi is frugal over long distances, but it pays an IUC surcharge in Portugal, and a newer diesel needs regular longer runs to keep its particulate filter clean. For mostly short trips in town, a petrol or LPG version usually suits better.

Question 4

Which Duster generations are there?

Accepted Answer

The first generation went on sale in 2010, the second arrived in 2018 with a more modern interior, and the third, from 2024, added a hybrid version. All three keep the same simple, practical formula.
