Which petrol engine is best in an Alfa Romeo Giulietta?

The 120 hp 1.4 TB, with a conventional valvetrain, is the simplest to maintain. The 1.4 MultiAir is livelier and more efficient but needs the specified oil and timely changes.

Does a large-engined petrol Alfa Romeo pay a lot of road tax in Portugal?

Yes, for cars registered since July 2007 the IUC depends on engine size and CO2 emissions, so a Quadrifoglio's 2.9 V6 pays far more than a 1.4. Work out the tax before buying.

Which petrol versions does the Alfa Romeo Giulia come in?

Petrol Giulias use the four-cylinder 2.0 turbo with 200 or 280 hp, and the Quadrifoglio the 510 hp 2.9 twin-turbo V6. All have the ZF eight-speed automatic, and the 280 hp car can have Q4 all-wheel drive.
